A Good Place is an editorial guide: a personal, hand-curated collection of places to eat, drink, stay and live in the United Kingdom, written with opinion and care. It is not a booking platform, an estate agency or a directory, and using the site is free.

Places change – chefs move on, houses sell, hours shift. We visit, research and write with care, but we can't guarantee that every detail remains correct, and nothing on the site is a recommendation you must follow. Always check with a place directly before travelling or making arrangements. Our map shows approximate locations and should never be treated as turn-by-turn directions.

If you create an account, please give accurate details, keep your password to yourself, and use the site kindly. Your saved places and wishlist are for your personal use. We may remove an account that abuses the site – for example by attempting to disrupt it, scrape it wholesale, or misrepresent another person.

We link to restaurants, hotels, estate agents and shops because we think they're worth your time. We have no control over those websites and aren't responsible for their content, prices or conduct – those arrangements are between you and them.

Some links to products in our Get the Look sections may, now or in future, earn A Good Place a small commission if you buy through them. This never influences which places appear on the site or what we write about them. Where a link is an affiliate link, we will say so on the page.

The words, illustrations and design of A Good Place belong to us. You're very welcome to link to the site; please don't reproduce its content commercially without asking.
